Convos with Friends Podcast
Overview
Convos with Friends is a podcast platform designed to host and distribute engaging conversations on various topics. The site was built using modern JAMstack principles for optimal performance and content management flexibility.
Challenge
The main challenge was to create a lightweight, fast-loading platform that could support audio content while maintaining excellent SEO and allowing for easy content updates by non-technical users.
Solution
I implemented a Next.js frontend for static site generation combined with Netlify CMS for content management. Audio files are hosted on Anchor FM to reduce hosting costs and improve delivery speed. The Disqus commenting system was integrated to foster community engagement around podcast episodes.

Outcome
The platform successfully serves as the primary distribution channel for the podcast, with improved audience engagement through comments. The site loads quickly, ranks well in search engines, and requires minimal maintenance.
Footie Manager
A football management web app where you can create teams, manage players, set formations, and simulate matches with friends. Currently a work in progress.
