Xchangr App

A mobile application connecting Nigerian students in North Cyprus with trusted currency exchangers, featuring city-based filtering and easy registration for new exchangers.
Xchangr App

Overview

Xchangr addresses a specific pain point for Nigerian students in North Cyprus who need to exchange currency. The app provides a curated listing of trusted currency exchangers, helping students avoid scams and find the best rates in their specific city.

Challenge

Nigerian students in North Cyprus often struggle to find reliable currency exchangers and are vulnerable to scams or unfavorable rates. The challenge was to create a simple yet effective platform that connects students with vetted exchangers while being lightweight enough to perform well on a wide range of devices.

Solution

I developed a cross-platform mobile application using Ionic with Vue.js and Firebase for the backend. The app allows students to browse exchangers filtered by city without requiring registration, while exchangers can easily sign up to be listed on the platform.
